The sapwood is gray-white, the heartwood is fresh and light, later darkening to coffee brown.
Characteristics
Wenge is very decorative, with its coarse pores exhibiting light or dark filler. Slightly shimmering medullar rays are visible.
Application
Wenge is a good type of construction wood for interiors and exteriors, which is also suited to framework, parquet and veneer in interior finishing.
